Veronique Delpire

Veronique is a medical writer trained in animal ethics, with more than 20 years of professional experience in the biopharmaceutical area. She obtained her PhD in bioethics from the Faculty of Biological Sciences at the University of Nottingham (UK) in 2000.

 

From 2000 until 2003 she was employed as a publications professional in a pharmaceutical company where she gained specific experience in publication ethics. Since 2003 she has worked as a consultant for the biopharmaceutical industry, providing medical writing support as well as advice and training in publication ethics, and clinical R&D bioethics programmes.

She acts as an external evaluator of research projects funded by the European Commission and helps life science researchers identify appropriate research funding schemes, as well as addressing and monitoring ethics issues related to their research projects.

Since 2022 Veronique has been a peer reviewer for Research Ethics, and a member of the journal's International Advisory Board since 2023.

Veronique is accredited with the European Medical Writers Association (EMWA), a member of the International Society of Medical Publications Professionals (ISMPP), Public Responsibility in Medicine and Research (PRIM&R), the International Association of Bioethics (IAB), and an associate member of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
